Employment Services
We offer a range of services, including Vocational Assessments with Career Exploration (CPA), Vocational Adjustment Training (VAT), Supported Employment (SE), Job Skills Training (JST), Work Experience Training (WET), Job Placement Services (JPS) and Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS). Through these services, participants develop workplace skills, explore career options, gain hands-on work experience, and receive individualized support throughout the employment process.
CAREER PLANNING ASSESSMENT
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
  • The Career Planning Assessment (CPA) is a functional assessment designed to evaluate the customer's work skills, determine support needs, and provide information needed to plan for future employment. The CPA is completed by the CPA evaluator using an individualized and supportive approach.
  • Garza & Carrillo Consulting also provides supported employment for qualifying individuals with a more significant need . Supported Employment makes it possible for people of various levels to become active, wage-earning members of the workforce by generating positive employment opportunities and providing on-going support so they may be successful in the workplace. This assistance, whether intensive or transitional, includes a job skills trainer that can help the individual choose, secure and retain a job.
JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES
  • Job placement services is a form of help provided to job seekers. This type of assistance usually includes a combination of career counseling and skills assessment, along with guidance on writing a resume, drafting a cover letter and filling out a job application. Job placement specialists help job seekers find appropriate position openings and work with them to prepare for interviews.
JOB SKILLS TRAINING
  • Job coaching and job skills training refers to the training of an employee by an approved coach, who uses structured intervention techniques to help the employee learn to perform job tasks to the employer's specifications and to learn the interpersonal skills necessary to be accepted as a worker at the job site and in related community contacts. In addition to job-site training, job coaching includes related assessment, job development, counseling, advocacy, travel training and other services needed to maintain the employment.
WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENT
  • The work experience placement is designed to provide meaningful opportunities for the participant to develop vocational skills, workplace behaviors, and career awareness while receiving appropriate support and guidance. The placement serves as a structured learning experience that helps the participant build confidence, evaluate career interests, and prepare for future competitive integrated employment.
WORK EXPERIENCE TRAINING
  • Work Experience Training (WET) is a short-term vocational rehabilitation service that allows a person to learn and practice job skills in a real work setting before obtaining competitive employment.
