Supported Employment makes it possible for people of various levels to become active, wage-earning members of the workforce by generating positive employment opportunities and providing on-going support so they may be successful in the workplace. This assistance, whether intensive or transitional, includes a job skills trainer that can help the individual choose, secure and retain a job.
JOB SKILLS TRAINING
Job coaching and job skills training refers to the training of an employee by an approved coach, who uses structured intervention techniques to help the employee learn to perform job tasks to the employer's specifications and to learn the interpersonal skills necessary to be accepted as a worker at the job site and in related community contacts. In addition to job-site training, job coaching includes related assessment, job development, counseling, advocacy, travel training and other services needed to maintain the employment.
WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENT AND TRAINING
Work Experience services allow a customer to be placed at a business or agency within the community to learn skills for long-term, competitive, integrated employment. Work Experience services are intended to be short term (12 or fewer weeks) and part-time. Work Experience can take place in a volunteer, internship, or temporary short-term paid-work setting.
VOCATIONAL ADJUSTMENT TRAINING
Through training, the student receives an opportunity to acquire the personal and social adjustment skills necessary to participate in job search activities. This service is offered by referral through a community

Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) are provided to transitioning individuals who meet the definition of a "student with a disability" ages 14 to 22. Our Pre-ETS training includes Career Exploration, Workplace Readiness, and Self-Advocacy.
RESUME BUILDING
Our employment specialist works with you to develop a resume which highlights your summary of qualifications, education, skills, key words for your industry, and proof of expertise. We also assist clients in developing cover letters, and thank you letters.

INTERVIEWING
The employment specialist will take you through a mock interview from start to finish including your appearance, body language, and prepared questions to ask. Our team prepares you for tough questions with individualized scripted answers.

- Socially Appropriate Behavior Skills Training—demonstrates appropriate behavior in selected settings on a routine basis.
- Communication Skills—communicates honestly and clearly, relates to authority figures, co-workers, peers, demonstrates appropriate phone etiquette, interacts and cooperates appropriately with groups.
- Grooming—demonstrates appropriate grooming skills and hygiene for work setting.
- Problem Solving—provides appropriate solutions to pre-identified work related barriers.
- Goal Setting—demonstrates understanding of realistic goals/objectives.
- Time Management—demonstrates effective time scheduling, understands the importance of punctuality and attendance, meets deadlines, schedules, and appointments appropriately.
- Self Concept/Self motivational skills training—demonstrates understanding of personal assets, skills, and abilities.
- Banking, Financial/Money Management—demonstrates an understanding of basic budgeting, banking services and the responsible use of credit.
- Work Traits/Work ethics—demonstrates appropriate attendance/tardiness record, relates well with co-workers and supervisors, recognizes "quality" work, competes appropriately.
- Conflict Resolution—demonstrates ability to cope with and appropriately resolve work-related conflicts.
- Disability Awareness—demonstrates ability to explain one's disability and offer solutions to disability related problems in an employment setting.
